"No problem." Jana said smiling.
"So are you ready for next week?" Ra said as she turned Rusty back toward home.
"Whats next week?"
"You forgot?!" Ra gasped. "The trails for the army! You said that you were going to try out."
"Oh, that." Jana said fingering Winter's mane. "I don't. i doubt that I would even get in. I mean, girls have to be really good for them to get in the army. I know Winter could do it, but I'm not sure about me. "
"You should at least try. I'm not old enough. Please try out for me. Your parents said that you could. Any way, you are good. I don't know know any boy that can swing a sword like you can, nad you can shoot while you ride. And you get a bulls eye."
winter shook her mane as if to say, "You better try out. I want to be in the army. "
"Ok. I'll try out. " Jana gave in.

Ok, pie first. I made an apple pie like I told you. It looks so good. (even if I do say so myself.) Well now for more of the story.

Jana knocked on Ra's door. The house looked most of the others did in the town. Stone, three stories, with green shuters, to put it smipley; cozy. Ra's brother, Ram, opened the door. he looked very tired. His black hair looked like it could use a good combing. "Yes?"
"Is Ra here?" She said trying to look happy. This family needed something to smile about. "I want to take her on a trail ride. Just me and her, but don't tell her it's going to be a surprise."
A faint smile hung around his mouth. "I'll go get her. Wait here."
Soon Ra showed up at the door. She was wearing much of the same attire that Jana was. A long shirt with a cloack and boots. "Hi," She said looking a little brighter at the sight of Jana. "Ram said that you wanted to take me down to the stable to see Rusty?"
Jana could not help smiling at her friends face when she said,"Yes. I know that your parents like you to be with a person when you go to the stable so I thought that you would like to come with me."
Ra's face light up like a fire. " I would love to go! Let me go get my cloak. Wait here."

Once upon a time

Ok, this going to be a little bit different then the reat of my post. As you have probaby guessed I like to read and write fantisy. So I thought that I would show you one of my stories. Its only a little bit of one. Please tell me what you think.

Jana hugged Winter's nack as tightly as she could. Her blonde hair was braided and her blue eyes were filled with trouble. Her long shirt fell almost to her knees, but she was able to ride in it becuase of the slits on the sides. She wore black boots and a home-spun cloak. she spoke softly yo her horse. "Today Ra's grndfather died. She is very sad. She looks very sick. She hasn't eaten in a while. I am worried that she doesn't want to live any more. she hasn't seen Rusty in days. I've been taking care of him. her mother wants me to talk to her. But what will I say?"
Winter nuzzled Jana with her great white head. she seemed to say. "Why don't you ride with her? That always seems to help."
Jana Clung more tightly to her horses snowy white neck. "How do you always know what to do?" She said more to her-self then to Winter. "I'll brush Rusty so he looks beautiful and pamper him so that he's in a good mood. Then I'll take her on a special ride through the woods."
Winter nicker rang out through the stone stable. She seemed to say this time. "What about me d? Don't I get to come too?"
"Don't be silly. Of course you're coming. I'm going to go get Rusty. Please don't break anything."
"Me? Sweet inacent me? Banish the thought madam."
"I'll banish it when you stop jumping over the fence!" Jana yelled back over her shoulder as she ran toward the field were Rusty was.

Thanksgiving

I can't wait until tomorrow! Tomorrow I only have to do math because it's baking day. Every year at thanksgiving my family makes pies. Lots of them. Elaine makes the pumpkin pies, Beccah makes the cherry pies, Annalee and I make the apple pies, and Corrie bakes anything that she can find to make. Oh yeah, and mom helps a "little". My favorite part of making apple pie is this contest that all my sisters and I do every year. We each skin apples and see who can make the longest apple skin. Annalee wins about every time. Speaking of Annalee, She is coming home to night! I can't wait to see her.

Weekend

This week end is going to be very busy for me. My church is having a missions weekend were we have some of our missionaries come up and tells us a little bit about what they have been doing this past year. Beccause I went on the missions trip Mr. Don is having each kid that went on it stand up and talk! I just hope God puts the right words in my mouth about what to say. I think that I will do better than some of the other kids beccause I have done some plays and stuff like that.
I am going to miss one day of the missions thing for my older sister ,Annalee, is having a paino recitel. That should be cool. We have to drive all the way up to Frostburg. I am looking forward to that for the all ready have snow! :b And I will get to see Annalee. *-*

An other cool thing about this weekend is that my other older sister Corrie os going to talk at one of the things. She is going to Mexico to help out with some stuff this summer. SO I am looking forward to alot of things this weekend!

Yesterday

i don't know what to blog about so I am blogging about what I did yesterday. I went to this harvest party that my church has every year. The theme of the party was supper heros. I din't know what supper hero to go as so I made one up. I was Ice queen and my power was ice. (duh) my chuch for the first time was did a trunk thing were decorated your trunks. My family didn't do one but I helped out with one. I was the frog and duck in this pupet show thing that some one did in for their trunk.
