Update

This is just an update about what's going in my life:

I got a job at subway and have been working a lot lately. Like every week day so I'm really tired a lot of the time now.

In a couple weeks my family is going to the beach and I'm really psyched about that!

Elaine and Beccah came back from V-Jam a little tanner and very tired. I missed both of them very much.

I'm all most done with a sketch book. Yeah!! I'll post some of my favorite drawings when I have time.

Can you believe it? I know I can't. Beccah has her very own computer and I am writing to you from it! Beccah was nice enough to let me on her guest account while she's working in some slide show for her graduation party thingy at the church.

Elaine is wandering around complaining about how Corrie isn't here yet to pick her up. Corrie is housesitting and choffering the Sillamen's the week while there parents are out of town for some reason.

Yeah! Monday I have no school!! :b

Today I cleaned out the van and Dad's car for ten dollars. It took for ever. I never knew how much carpet people could put in one car.

At the Close

The school year is quietly coming to a close. I done with school with the exception of History. Though it is very interesting, history was a bugger this year because of all the books I was required to read. I think my favorite was To Kill A Mocking Bird. I really like the main character and its underlying messages. One of the things that was different about this school year was I started High School and therefore started attending a tutorial called Cornerstone. I took Geometry there with Mrs. Jenkins. I really like my teacher and I finally found a math that was interesting.

Next Tuesday I start taking the IWOA test of basic skills, please pray that I do well.

I hope to post some of the art that I have done this past year soon. I felt like I've grown so much in that area.

Prince Caspian was cool, but I wish thay had stayed truer to the book. Reepicheep was awesome!! I think one of my favorite parts was with the baby centaur. So cute!

Beccah is offically graduated from High School. Next year she'll be going to Frostburg State University pursuing a degree as an English Major. I'm going to miss her a lot but I know I'll have fun spaming her with obnociously long e-mail. Bwahahaha!! (evil laugh)

This summer I'm looking forward to hanging out with my friends and working on my art.

The Rabblings of a Ready to be out of School teenager

School has been a bugger lately, but its going to be ok because Summer is almost here!! Only two more weeks of science and geometry. I'm so excited. I'm really looking forward to working on my art during the summer as well as not being so stressed out about stuff. Next years school year is going to be so different with e Beccah gone at college and I'll taking college classes at the community college. I can't wait to take art there!! But for now I'm just going to look forward to summer and not think about next school year. I can't wait to be able to read and draw again. :) I should probably get a job this summer, but I don't care. Its going to be great. One of the things I'm really looking forward to is the week that my mom's side of the family and my family are all going down to Ocean City New Jersey. That should be a lot of fun. I can hardly wait for summer to come.

The Amazing Little Hermit Crab

My little sister loved her hermit crab, Sunshine. She thought he was the most adorable little thing in the world with his yellow shell and creepy little legs poking out. I, on the other hand, thought he was gross, so I was not too upset when Sunshine “went to a better place” while we were on vacation.
We had left Sunshine with our good friends, the Cooks, who were very upset when Sunshine kicked the bucket. They even bought my little sister another hermit crab. (I wasn’t too thrilled about that.) My little sister was also upset, but she thanked them and named the new hermit crab Skyie because of its blue shell.
Two weeks later my family and I were we walking into to church when one of the Cook girls, grinning, came up to us and handed my sister a box.
“Last night I woke up because I heard this rustling coming from my trash can. So I got up and looked. It was coming from the box where I had put Sunshine's body and guess what?” She held up the box and shoved it in my face. I looked and sure enough there was Sunshine, tacky yellow shell and creepy little legs and all.
As it turns out Sunshine didn't actually die. He was just molting. My little sister was thrilled to find out that he was alive, but the only thing going through my mind was that now we had two of the little buggers!

This is something that I wrote for journalism Class

My Evil Little Sister

My Evil Little Sister

I live with an evil little monster. Her name is Elaine.

She is evil because she does not let me eat. Ever. And she is always making me do her jobs and she tortures me by whipping in my sleep and making me turn off my light at an insanely early time.

My mother is oblivious because the Evil monster has put spell on her.

Elaine also tries to make me eat fish. Which in its self is a kind of torture and is up there with pulling peoples nails off, drilling holes in the soles of their feet, and water boarding.

She has also gotten the support of other fellow evil monsters that are Corrie and Beccah who always take her side on everything. Even when she is obviously in the wrong. Like the other day when I was sitting on her because she had tickled me; they made me get off.

She also makes me pick up my blankets that drop from my bunk bed because I move around in my sleep. It is not my fault that they fall off and I should not have to pick them up. Then she gets mad and then I get in trouble. Life is unfair.

Lucky charms are yummy put chocolate chip cookies are the yummiest. They are warm and mushy and yummy and delicious, Dripping with chocolate and deliciousness.

And that is why I have a monster living under my bed.

Note: I actually really love Elaine. I just wrote this when I was feeling silly and thought it was funny so yeah. Lova Lainy!! :)

Memories of the Old Year

Christmas is over and now its the start of a new year. Last year was a good one. Annalee and Eric's wedding, growing closer to God, going on the Glen Burnie missions trip, writing and preforming a Christmas play with my sister Beccah, making new friends, growing closer to my old ones, starting High School and excelling in my art. These are some of the most memorable aspects of this year that really made 2007 great.

Here are a list of people that made 2007 a special year:
  • Annaleee and Eric; the two most ouber awesome old people that ever walked the earth who finally got married and now are living happily ever after.
  • My mom and dad; who always encourage me to do my best and work hard no matter what.
  • Corrie; for being kind sweet and caring no matter how much I annoy you. And for always giving me a hug when you come in the door.
  • Beccah; for always telling me when I'm being stupid and for laughing at all my dumb jokes.
  • To my Grandma and Grandpa Laskey; For encouraging me in my art.
  • to Elaine; Who will always listen to my stories and tell my there awesome.
  • Kat and Josh, for encouraging Beccah and I to write a Christmas play and for being a really nice people who always seems to be in a good mood and are very awesome youth leaders.
  • Bekah, Amanda, Matanda, Julia, Megan, Carrie; My friends who encourage me
  • Leslie; a friend of Corrie's who is a kindred spirit and makes me laugh my guts out.
  • Mathew, Lizzy, and Katherine; the coolest kids you will ever meet and who love my drawings.
  • My Aunt's Debbie and Meg; for being cool

All theses people make me feel special. They make me feel like I can do things that I dream about. Thank you for making 2007 a very special year.
